Association of interpreters for persons with
impaired hearing Serbia was established in 2000th as an
NGO that gathers interpreted for hearing impaired persons
in Serbia. Fifty members of the Association is engaged in
volunteer work in 15 towns in Serbia. The members have
various educational profiles from 17 - 60 years old.
Goals are the promotion, protection and influence to ensure
full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and
fundamental freedoms by persons with hearing impairment
and to promote respect for their inherent dignity.
AOIFDP its activities conducted within the framework of
these programs:
* qualifying candidates with knowledge of sign language
for possible court interpretors
* sign language training for all interested
* certified permanent court interpreters
* free training foreign languages (English and Spanish) -
for deaf persons
* free training for computer usage - for deaf persons
* free training of art - for deaf persons
* education in nature for persons with impaired hearing
* news for deaf pesons
* interpreting at public meetings
* free translation services in all circumstances
* sign language training on FASPER and Faculty of
Philology
* free servisec of social worker
* office services for persons with impaired hearing in the
municipality of Centar Palilula and Zvezdara
Inclusive Amateur Theatre "Listen to my hands,"
his sign language performances approachies to the general
population, and persons with impaired hearing closer to
the world of imagination with the processing of famous
fairy tales and play where the characters are written by
members of the character traits.
The work involved UTLOSS a large number of
volunteers who are interested in the integration of persons
with hearing impairment.
